Regular Maintenance and Care

Regular wiping of exterior doors, cabinet boxes, drawers, handles and knobs with a non-caustic, cleaner or a dry non-abrasive, cloth (particularly for wooden cabinets) is advisable. The same may be used for steel or aluminum-styled cabinets, in which case, a mild detergent and warm water may be used.

Use a stool or step ladder to ensure that the tops of your cabinets are also wiped thoroughly, as this area is often neglected, being slightly out of reach. For all glass areas, use a good-quality glass cleaner.

As in any kitchen, crawling insects and other pests, as well as moisture and dust can enter your cabinets if the doors or drawers do not shut completely. Make sure to check door hinges, or inner drawer tracks and slides, and repair them if the cabinet cannot be shut properly.
