Overhead cabinet lighting provides an additional layer of general lighting. Hanging fixtures and track lighting can be mounted above or in front of cabinets, while recessed lighting can be built into the ceiling. Overhead lights can be tied to a dimmer switch so you can soften the intensity of the light or reduce surface glare from shiny countertops.
